EagleCraft Custom Boats

A new eagle has landed.

Since 1985, EagleCraft has built durable, dependable, high quality commercial grade vessels that are designed to operate in the most unforgiving environments. Their old logo however wasn’t really living up to these same rigorous standards. So the Vancouver Island-based boat builder engaged us to craft a new identity and boat plaque worthy of cresting their new fleet of high-quality custom aluminum boats.

There’s a gazillion eagle logos out there, so crafting something unique could prove a challenge. Since EagleCraft makes boats that weather the harshest marine conditions the Pacific West Coast can throw its way, we wanted to depict an eagle that was up to the task.

In the end, the design solution was relatively simple.

Subtly integrate a rolling wave into the head and beak of the eagle to be more relevant to the seafaring boats EagleCraft builds.

The new identity lends itself to a variety of applications, from the logo wordmark, an alternative crest-badge application, to the boat plaque that adorns all their new boats.
