Before Galson Laboratories’ rebrand, they were struggling to regain clarity and focus after being acquired by SGS: one of the world’s largest testing and certification companies.
We worked closely with the company’s new executive team to create a coherent brand and digital presence that would reflect their combined expertise and put SGS Galson on the map as the World Leader in Industrial Hygiene (IH) Analysis and Monitoring Systems.
We put the focus of this project on the newly conjoined companies clients: who were they? What were they likely going to be confused about? What did they need from us? Most importantly—what could they get from us that they couldn’t get anywhere else?
This set the stage for a drastic new innovation: the SAG (Sampling & Analysis Guide). The SAG allows customers to easily order sampling & analysis tests and equipment online. We also modernized the way that SGS Galson’s clients communicate with them by integrating IH Live Chat, WebCam and online chain of custody system to their website.

The acquisition meant that SGS Galson could offer the local service and trusted expertise that Galson was known for as well as the global locations and capabilities of the much larger SGS. This new ability was the foundation for the brand’s messaging and new tagline that speaks directly to clients: Your Local Global Lab.
We updated Galson’s marketing materials and trade show booths to proudly reflect their new position and alliance with SGS.
